Wolf management-just got this from WI Bowhunters Association

Unread postby Dewey » Sat Mar 14, 2015 5:13 am

Urgent! Urgent! Urgent!

Our national legislators, particularly senators from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and Wyoming are about to introduce legislation to return wolf management to the US Fish & Wildlife Service and the states, and prohibit further judicial intervention that the animal rights groups have been using for years to tie this up in court.

The Humane Society of the United States, Defenders of Wildlife and other radical animal rights groups are now staging an all-out nationwide blitz to encourage senators to oppose this bill.

We need your help - now - to counteract their campaign. Please call your US senators; in Wisconsin that's Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin and request support for this legislation. Their Washington DC and home office numbers are noted below. They can be reached by email through their respective websites.

Ron Johnson: DC # 202-224-5323 Oshkosh office # 920-230-7250
Tammy Baldwin DC # 202-224-5653 Madison office # 608-264-5338

It's important to note that this legislation does not change the Endangered Species Act, which charges the US Fish & Wildlife Service with evaluating the science and administering the provisions of that act. It simply prevents these radical groups from shopping for a friendly judge and then continually blocking the science-based rulings of the USF&WS, as they have for several years while wolves keep expanding without control across much of Wisconsin and other states. For two years Wisconsin had the authority to responsibly manage wolves until it was stopped again in December by a Washington DC district court judge that has unilaterally decided that all wolves must receive absolute protection, regardless of the damage they cause, until they re-inhabit much of their historic range - which is essentially the whole eastern half of the United States. In other words ... forever.

Please contact these two senators today and request their support for the bill that would prevent further judicial obstructions and restore wolf management to the professionals at USF&WS and state wildlife departments.

Thank You!

I agree that this is the only way that we can regain management control . This will be a never ending cycle otherwise.
