Hey guys thought I would post up.
Couple days ago I went out with a plan to do some scouting for deer during the day and to use the evening to hunt for coyotes. I only have one predator call so I was calling with a fawn distress reed call,I moved band up on highest setting so it had a squeakier sound. I called pretty soft it was dead quiet in woods with some dramatic raspier high pitched stuff mixed in.I was set up on a rock wall with a crosswind from where I thought they would approach. He came up over an adjacent ridge, I wasn't expecting a fox but they are legal this time of year so I waited for him to get closer and I shot at about 35 yards. It Was really cool, I was impressed with how these predators can narrow in on a sound in the woods to get a meal.Got a lot of respect for this fox and coyotes alike. Im getting the hide tanned. Anyways wondering if you guys had any recommendations on hand calls for coyotes/fox, I heard diaphragm calls are really good, but am real new to predator hunting any recommendation would be great. Thanks for all the info. appreciate this site!

I really like my primos hot dog caller. Usually it takes me a while to get a call to sound right, but I was having a blast with it right out of the box. and man that thing will get LOUD if you want it to.
