Did a benfit fishing tournament
It was inshore. Not my thing but it was for a church youth group.

Snook, redfish, and trout slam.
And a trashcan slam. (Any 3 fish not in the above)

I caught a 28” snook right out of the gate
And a 26” red a bit later.
Took 4 hours to get s trout(14”)!!

In the interim we caught the trashcan
(I got second in that for largest trash fish lol)

Winner of the main event totaled 91”!!! We came in at 68”
We were waaaaay out of the money.

It was still fun

Threw the castnet and got some mullet
Onto the smoker
Made a fish spread with it, I suspect today it’ll be mostly eaten

Had a rough go at it today.
Did some spearing in the am
A few small mango snapper and sheepshead is about all
Harassed by a small bull shark. 3’er
He would NOT leave without a fish.
Hit my calf going for my stringer
Hit my buddy’s thigh, knocked the stinger out of his hand and got the goods.
We popped him in the head with our spearguns he just wasn’t going to be denied lol

Afternoon was 12-15 mph 2-3’ chop, tried anchoring over an area for the yellow tail.
Managed a few and one nice mutton

Man you are living it up. I am really hoping to get out this weekend and find a slot snook (couple overshot would be fun too 8-) ) before season closes.
