I've been thinking about those De Pere fish  every day since you posted them. I have a cabin at a place where there are big walleyes and big sturgeon in the spring but I think your spots have better numbers... anyway it's a cool thread.

None of the eyes I posted this spring were De Pere... all North.

Wow those are some nice looking walleyes. Great job. Did you happen to weight any of them?

That's awseome. Catching big WALLEYE really gets me fired up. Iam hoping to make a trip down to Erie if the weather holds out. Hopefully before the spawn is over.

We made it out yesterday. Spent all morning outside of a tributary further up the bay. Water temps were 34-36. Only pulled in a pike. Really, we didn't mark much or see anything caught. We picked up and went to DePere and pulled in a half dozen eater sized walleyes and saw a few more caught. Nothing huge though, but good to be out on the water. Water temps on the Fox were approaching 38.

Of all the fish I have mounted over several decades, Walleye were definitely one of my favorites. Loved the way they look...... and taste. Wish we had then down south.

Video I shot with my buddy Justin out on the Fox a couple weeks ago. If you get the time go check out Behind the Reel on Facebook and Instagram!

Nice video Czabs and congratulations on 4th place finish!

Question for you, with it being so cold, how do you drain the water out of your motor to make sure nothing is left? I had a motor we thought we drained but it froze up thereby ruining my water pump.

Thanks
