Hi everyone,
we have a WIFA fishing tournament for our High School kids this weekend. It is still on as long as ice conditions don't get too bad. I was wondering if anyone has fished this lake and can give me any tips on lures, bait, etc. We will be fishing for walleyes, bass, northern and pan fish. If you can share any information I would appreciate it. You can post or PM whatever you feel would be best. We leave Thursday night.
Thanks,
John

Of all the panfish lakes in that area I would pick red cedar last. I have heard good things about walleyes and perch out there but never panfish or northern. We used to have some luck jigging for bass out there in the winter(weird catching smallmouth through the ice). Rocky bottom was key to that from what I remember. The electronics didn't like the rock bottom as it was hard to pick up your lure on the screen.

Thank you guys for the help.
I will let you know how we do and hopefully see what kind of fishery exists here. :)

If it's anything like other likes in the area for panfish, I really like bigger moon glitter jigs. Orange and yellow jig with red or purple plastic wedges on it. For some reason up north I do better with bigger jigs. Down by Milwaukee for panfish I use the smallest lightest jigs possible.
Best of luck!
Best of luck!

Thanks to everyone for their input, it was very helpful.
The kids had a blast and took some nice fish, taking a 5th place finish.
Thanks again!
