Make-over

Unread postby Newhunter » Mon Aug 21, 2017 12:09 pm

I just bought a 12ft aluminum boat and want to paint the it because the previous owner sealed all the seams and rivers and it looks a bit rough. What is the best paint to use? I have a Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, Menards and Ace Hardware all within 15 minutes of my home.

I was thinking Rust-Oleum would be good but wasn't sure.

Thanks in advance.

Run it in polyaspartic, that is what I did to my '72 Aluminum Blue Fin boat. Looked like a new boat

Google is a beautiful thing. Sherwin williams DTM would be easier to apply, polyaspartic is a two part with a short pot life, unless you get the S-W 3 hour pot life. Just search them on S-W website, but I did run polyaspartic on mine
