This past weekend I decided to take my son and a friend of his out to do some shore fishing. The weather was pretty cold with a stiff wind. It was very hard for the boys and myself to cast since the wind was right into our faces. I had a newly spooled reel which I had overfilled with line so had to be careful not to get any birdnests in the line, especially in the dark. Well, I was catching walleye after walleye while the boys did not catch a thing. I then told my son I would cast the lure out for him to reel in. It did not take long before he landed a walleye. His friend at this point still was not catching anything even though we changed lures, etc. My son suggested they take turns reeling in my lure which I would cast out for them. Well my son ended up landing a total of six walleyes losing one big walleye and his friend only managed one walleye but it was a big 26-inch fish. We forgot to weigh it in all the excitement but I would estimate it was between 7-9lbs. It had a huge girth since I could fit my two hands around it as I was holding it as the boys took the lure hooks out of the fish. What a great day shore fishing even in the nasty weather. Lots of fun!

Big walleye on... go to grab net and... holy Toledo, I'm about to troll over a huge gill net! Operating boat, catching and netting fish.. quite a job for one guy. Put a 23 in beast in the box! Water is mud, tough fishing for sure!

I was down at the river in Rome Wisconsin shooting carp and saw two nice pike. Went back today and they were still in the same spot together... I think I got the smaller male. Got some random stranger to take a pic for me before putting it back.
Also got a couple smaller fish, but only fished for 15 minutes and then got the carp bow out.

Back home, time to take pics and clean fish. I managed to land about 15 walleye in the first hour. I started off BG netting two keepers and having to land a third by hand. I limited a few minutes later, then played catch and release for a short time before calling it a morning. The fish came in two or three at a time, I wish more days were like this!

These 5 walleyes were taken, in all honesty, in about 15 minutes... I landed a total of about 15 in the first hour, released all the rest.
I love having the problem of netting multiple walleyes at once... and it happened more than once this morning!
Sheeeeeep!! the dang thing grunted at me like a buck the whole time it was in the boat. I sent him back "to swim with the fishes."
gotta luv 'da Bay!!
