Largemouth
Went fishing from shore for the first time since moving to Florida in December. I walked down to a pond that is in our development. Caught a small bass on my first cast. By the end of my 2 hours on shore I landed the largest bass of my life.
I didn't get anything more than an approximate length and girth but the fish measured from the ground was to the top of my kneecap long (mouth open and no tail pinch) and 8 fingers wide. Getting the tape at home that puts her at 25" long and an approximate girth of 16". Using the weight calculator that puts this fish between 9-11 lbs give or take. I'd guess a bit less as I think she was spawned out.
I do have to say the picture doesn't do her justice and my dad dad doesn't have the best photographic eye. I assume me being 6'5" and 250 lbs doesn't help either.

Re: Largemouth
Nice! One thing I hate about pictures of fish...they never look as big in the pic as they do in real life.

Re: Largemouth
Very nice bass.
I have a feeling that beard your sporting will be coming off once you get a taste of your first Florida summer.

Re: Largemouth
If you are 6' 5" and 250, the picture does the fish justice. Congrats.
Are you down in the southern or northern part of Florida?
