I believe it is some type of hybrid . I recall reading about them some time back.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

x2 for Ghost Hunter's comment. This pic has been floating around online for a couple years. The original article I read stated it was from Lake Havasu. Regardless, in my part of the country we call that a sunfish... and a ridiculously big one at that

Lake Havasu puts out some monster redears. A lot has been attributed to booming Quagga mussel population in the lake.
