Growing up it was always the improved clinch knot.

Started bottom fishing in FL and often get back a curl on the end of mono where a swivel or hook was. Started using the Palomar and started landing more fish. I think it is the double line going thru the hook/swivel eye that gives it more strength.

Idk the name of the knot I use most often but I think it’s just called a ‘fishermen’s knot’, at least that’s what I call it.

I like perfection loop for live bait.

For braid-leader I use Alberto knot.

Improved cinch direct to lures/hooks/swivels etc. albright knot if your tying Braid to mono or fluro. Cant go wrong

Fishermans knot on mono and palomar for braid here. I'm still at a cub scout level for knot tying though.
