They're biting in Genoa on the Mississippi! Maybe not as hot as the should be, but they are biting! Saw several nice ones being caught last weekend and brought home a couple eaters myself.
Wolf river rigs in the current...or Killer Jigs tipped with minnows. I also use a lindy rig...floating jighead tipped with a minnow.
I'll be throwing a little of everything at them tomorrow (plus doing a little perchin' at the same time) ;)

fishing has been consistently tough in the WI river near sauk. Lindy rigs with fatheads, slow or vertical, has caught some fish for me, lately slow crankbaits in shallower water close to dark has been producing as well. Tough though, slow, lite bite usually. And alot of short fish, with a few fat females mixed in. Should be good this week, too bad I will be in South Carolina shark fishing!

also, I have heard that the Wolf River run is on. But I refuse to fish that zoo again, although maybe it wouldn't be so bad weekdays.

The ROck River is almost done. Lots of fish, but few legals are being caught on pink and chartreuse twister tails in the Fort Atkinson area. Some of us ghetto fishermen are getting pumped for the white bass run

My son has caught a bunch of shorts on Rock river by you with a few legals.

Fox river on Green Bay is heating up, with my buddies doing okay there.

Make sure to have current fishing license as they just expired :)

Wisconsin has been rocking since we have been able to get our boats in. Buddies have been killing them and one of the best years for legal fish.

Making my first trip this weekend and taking a needed break from the piers and my trout chase. Been getting my but kicked with too many close calls and nothing to show.
You have a monkey Mr. Munson?

Took Rick to one of my old fishing spots from my childhood. Lots of memories there... I like this spot cause nobody really ever figured out the walleyes spawn here. Looks like a few people know now, but when you show up in a shirt that says " NOT GAY BUT $20 IS $20" the few remainders scatter quick... One of my 1st casts I hooked a nice walleye but lost it at the net. Right after that a guy next to me hooked one on a chartreuse mister twister jig but it ended up breaking his line.

No more eyes after that, but lots of small pike. We seen some big pike swimming around but did not hook any. I was rigging a large shiner hooked in the but with a treble hook and a small weight 16 inches above the hook. 30 pound mono, no leader. I would slowly jig up and down off the bottom. Tried crawlers, got nothing...

The Menominee river is starting to heat up. Picked up one yesterday and my wife and I just got back home and each got one. The water is really high. We had to go up to 1/2 jigs to hold bottom and we're using gulp 4" smelt. ;)
