I went from a 8 by 42 Nikon to a Leupold Acadia 8 by 42 this season. I got a incredible deal and am a Leupold scope fan I decided to try the binoculars out. Best decision I've made, I love them even being low powered. I see clearly and the adjustment is great for my purposes I've never been out west and used a stand with them before. But for reference on quality and satisfaction of purchase Leupold and their warranty you can't go wrong. I'd still recommend going 10-42. the hills of wv allow a little bit of wiggle room on zoom options in comparison.

I ended up with the Cabelas Guide Series 10x42 - supposed to be Leupold Mojaves with a diff name, same warranty. Really like them.
