Scenario - rolling hills with gullies, some small pines scattered about in areas. Large properties.
I would feel good with 10x binoculars for antelope, having been there but am asking myself if a spotting scope is a good investment for a couple of hunts. Would be looking for mule deer and elk.

Try your 10’s on a tripod, huge difference and may save you some money.

If you're looking for animals, binos on a tripod should suffice. If you're looking to diffentiate between different caliber animals at distance, I would highly recommend a spotter.

Not sure if you’re interested in a Leupold 15-30x50mm gold ring? I have one I’m about to list for sale.

Re: Need A Spotting Scope?
A spotter can be good but had some draw backs too. You will need to carry the larger, heavy glass plus a tripod. However, you will see a lot more with less walking.
