In my buddy’s defense,

He’s a small business owner and the timeline for the job was start August 1 and it has to be done by October 1.
He’s only got a 3 man crew and it’s a huge masonry job.

But, he also should’ve let us know sooner.

Small business owners have it rough - you are basically married to the business.

I did that before - took wife on a 10+ hr drive to camp on a lake for a week, had 2 days then received a phone call and had to head back. It was our bread & butter client at that time. Yup, see you at X PM tomorrow. Honey, we gotta go...
