Bat attack

Unread postby Hawthorne » Sat Feb 20, 2016 8:30 pm

Was in bed and had this swoop by my face to wake me up. Nothing survives my house if it breaks in. LOL Image

Make sure to check your attic. Usually if there is one in the house there are more in the attic.

I'd hate to have bats in my house too.

we learned some things about bats while camping at yellowstone lake state park last summer. bats are in trouble. they are being killed at fast rates from "white nose syndrome" and has really hurt them in the caves where they winter and biologists are not sure what to do. a single bat can eat up to 8,000 mosquitoes in a night. if you enjoy a mosquito free back yard in the summer, it could be because of a healthy bat population in your neighborhood. My son and I are going to build some bat houses to try an help them this coming summer. we're putting one up in the back yard and donating the other one to the WIDNR.
