Otters........for dinner?
So I happen to know where I can go kill an otter pretty easy during small game I've sat and watched them for hours before. Me and my brother were talking and we both know you could do the pelt thing and all that, but has anyone ever eaten otter? I found very little on a quick google search about cooking otter. I'm guessing it has to be pretty dang gamey considering their diet, but I have eaten a lot worse stuff then I think otter could be.

Onions and butter.
Then a voice told him, “Rise Peter. Kill and eat.” Acts 10:13

One bite at a time. I'm joking, but I do have a sign on the door of my mancave that says "There is a place for all God's creatures.....right next to the potatoes and carrots!" Seriously though I have tried a WHOLE lot of different animals in my travels. So cute and fuzzy plays nothing in my decision of what's for dinner!

Now that quote is "funny". but I would draw the line at some varmints and things that crawl or slither.
Here is your otter recipe fresh from google

They are some of my favorite animals to watch, extremely smart creatures.

As far as eating them.. I can’t say I’ve every eaten anything bad smothered in a little oil and onions.. If its a questionable creature I’d probably throw a little garlic in there too. Over rice with white beans as a side of coarse.

Best otter recipe!
Wrap entire otter in thick sliced peppered bacon. Lay on grill cooking with indirect heat, once done and bacon is crisp. Throw the otter away and eat the bacon... Enjoy!

If pork is the other white meat then otter must be the otter red meat.
I'll be interested in the culinary report.

It’s pretty hard for something to taste bad if it is cleaned well, marinaded, seared and then slow cooked... or just slow cooked for that matter.
No Shortcuts. No Excuses. No Regrets.

Easy way to find the southerner in the group...
But I 100% agree with you otherwise. Oil, onions and garlic could make my shoes taste good. Smell, maybe not. Might need some mushrooms for that

Easy way to find the city slicker in the group.

Always wanting to throw good food away just because their local grocery doesn't carry it.
