just when I think my father has achieved the highest level he will obtain as a nature photographer and avid birder, he hits me with this...

I really like the composition of this photo... the two pieces of wood give depth to the photo, the mirror reflection of the duck, and the tree's reflecting downward into the water from the top of the photo.

The red eye on that duck is very piercing.

I got to check this forum more. That is an awesome pic, your dad has done some great photography. Thanks for sharing.

I still cant get that out of my head when you told the story of him heading out with an ipod and calling birds in to photograph. I want to try that in the Kirtland Warbler viewing area up around Mio

The Kirtland's Warbler remains one of the rarest birds on planet earth. I'm going to post some pics taken last week, thanks Lou.

amazing photo
takes me back to my grandfathers decor in his cabin full of ducks unlimited mags and little wood duck houses scatted about his yard!
