Mental Break

Deer have been giving me fits, so I did a little jump shooting while I set a camera Saturday. Ended up with a pair of woodies and a perfect drake GWT. Unfortunately no taxidermy budget this year!
Also, don't give up on your duck giblets gents. Made some hash Sunday morning with Hen of the Woods mushrooms and duck hearts, livers and gizzards and it was phenomenal!

Congrats. I sure like hunting mallards and pintails, but drake woodies and gwt are beautiful.

Man I wish duck season wasn't in the middle of deer season. Looks like so much fun and so delicious.
