You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

I just got a vision of a bunch of "hunting beasts" with sticks stuck in oranges trying to make a fire .

I'm a little curious too. I probably should have put this in the youtube section since I haven't actually tried it and trying to start a fire with a wet orange doesn't sound to likely.

Interesting... I would not doubt it. I have seen how well squeezing an orange peel over a lighter works...

Loved the warning at the end about Wal-Mart, good thing those two they caught "in the act" weren't near any oranges, the entire store could have gone up!

"Attention eskimos, Ice for sale."

I can tell you what excellerant he even used to create that flame. Hand Sanitizer. Don't believe me? Squirt a little bit of that on some concrete and light it. Same low blue flame. If this was even remotely possible Oranges would have to be listed on a MSDS folder. They aren't. Cooking with oranges would also result in a Flambe' then. If you really need to have further proof, skip the rock and stick and take a lighter to a wet, hollowed out orange. If you have done enough camping then you have seen fruits and other wet garbage thrown on the campfire. It takes forever to burn. It's funny but I am a little suprised at my fellow beasts here. Orange juice could be used as charcola lighter fluid then, look at the stick when he pulls it out. Light your lantern with Florida gold? Not happening.

The zest oil trick does work but that is because it is oil, oil burns, it just has plenty of heat to oil ratio and enough Oxygen around it to make quick sparks when squeezed into a flame.
It's not a problem, it's a opportunity for a solution.
