Glad your still with us and everything turned out ok... scary moment.
Thanks for sharing... it is good to hear these stories and make me think twice if I am ever in the same situation.

I walked over same beaver dam last week, just to look it over and recover the climbing stick I left there. I am still amazed at how simple it looked, just needed to be more careful and not carrying things! I see how easy to "slide in" it is at the point where I did, narrow with hardly room to step in a 2 foot area.

Wool is great. Even when wet, it will warm up and maintane body heat. Your right. It probably did help you. Glad your ok.
