A bow hunting tragedy / fatality happened yesterday less than ten miles from my home. Remember that your family is counting on you to return home safely- be exceptionally careful getting in and out of your tree stand. It goes without saying that your harness is ultra important.
Sometimes we all can get overconfident when things have gone smoothly for some time. I figure that now is a good time for all of us to reflect a bit on our personal safety when we participate in the sport we love.
Let's be careful out there...

Re: Bowhunting Tragedy
Very Sad! Hate to read post each year where a hunter is injured or killed.
In addition to using your harness in stand, remember to use them climbing up and down as well.

We've got more than one bow hunter that has taken a fall already this season here locally.

Re: Bowhunting Tragedy
That stuff hits home for me personally because I lost my uncle to a hunting accident in the early 90's and my best friend about 8 yrs ago who left behind a wife and 4 small kids both were accidentally shot with rifles... Not a time goes by in the woods that I don't remember both.... It happens........ And my heart goes out to the family's involved in tragedy's like this...
