Nice whitetail set

Unread postby Dunning Kruger » Sun Jan 27, 2019 11:52 pm

So i was hunting this buck this last season. Had my bow drawn on him twice, but the stars just didnt align for me. I was, however, fortunate enough to get his matched sheds on january 1st this year. He dropped on december 30th. Looking forward to hunting him next year if the wolves and lions dont get him first.

Good looking set. Glad you joined us.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

Wow! A lot of sleepless nights waiting to get to hunt that big boy. What a find! What a specimen to even be able to get to hunt period. So glad that you found the sheds and have the great pictures of him. All great memories in themselves. Congratulations on finding those great sheds. First the pictures , then the sheds, next the harvest itself.

Over the many years I have been around I have found a few Jim dandies myself. But rarely are they where I can actually get to hunt them. Even more rare get to hunt them in their total home range being used and lived in. So you are even luckier than you think. Good luck and happy safe trails to you. Thanks for sharing it all with all us . Please keep us informed with your pursuit of this great buck.

Awesome find!! It sounds like you have him well patterned. Getting close a couple times and finding his sheds. Going to be real interesting this fall  Looking forward to seeing the outcome. Best of luck.

Beautiful matched set.

I personally have never found a matched set so quite a find.

Nice job mounting them.
