First Year Trapping

Unread postby Brett » Sat Dec 13, 2014 6:20 am

First year trapping while taking some days off from hunting. Only have a few foot hold traps out right now, targeting coyotes, but caught this giant coon this morning! almost 30 lbs

Nice job.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Nice.
Trapping gets addicting.

Too many dogs running around where I live, its a problem.

I miss trapping! Kids, jobs, expensive gas - all took their toll on my trapping. Might have to get back into it.

Thanks! yeah it is addicting, i made the decision to teach myself to trap this year after seeing way to many yotes and coons around last year. Feels good to be getting rid of some predators and learning a new trade 8-)

I always wanted to trap but don't have the time. Would be perfect for a guy who's working seasonal jobs with winters off etc. There are plenty of coons and coyotes to catch that's for sure.
