Now that's the kind of hunting show I like to watch. Nicely done!!
It's really nice seeing how everything was done from the buck bedding all the way to the point where the buck was found after the kill.

It would be really cool if you had a whole show just about spring scouting and explaining beds and why a buck beds in a certain spot and then maybe on the next episode show you killing that particular deer.

How did you get Ozzy to let you use his music??????

Thats not Ozzy... Its a song that was written just for me by my nephews band. They put a lot of work into it for free... All I did was pay for there studio time. I think they did an awesome job, and need to makle sure they get publicly acknowledged for it,...

Great idea, i think this would be crucial for new members who might not have the marsh bucks/hill country bucks background like most of us. this would explain why you hunt the way you do

With the limited amount of time in one show episode and in the concept of keeping it somewhat entertaining, I am hoping that the shows will continue here on the forum... So basically, if someone wants to understand how the hunter new where a buck was bedding, or any other question, we want that conversation to continue after the show here on the forum..

I think that's a great idea. In this case I think a new forum would be a great idea, dedicate it entirely to your show.

I still think many of the sub forums could go bye bye though! ;) 8-)

Dan,

I liked it! No hollywood or staged B.S. - just everything as it happened with a purpose.

Dan,

you seemed to hunt pretty close to the trail cam setup and right on the field edge - not back in the woods closer to the bedding area where I would have expected you would typically setup.

did the rut timing influence this?

had the cam been gone from the area for a while?

was your setup purely based on your trail cam evidence that the buck was indeed routinely moving through the field in daylight?

Solid plan and it should drum up a lot of traffic here.

Great video Dan...this is exactly the kind of video I want to watch. I'd rather hear the strategy and see a quality, DIY fair chase hunt of a mature buck than the horn porn/product advertisement that is usually offered up as a hunting show. I think the thing I like best about your videos is that they just aren't entertainment, but also a reference. I can buy, for example, a Real Tree Monster Bucks video, watch it once, and pretty much be done with it...something like this, I would watch over and over to refresh my knowledge and be entertained.

I will say, that is one of the best shows I have seen. I watch a lot of outdoor shows on Outdoor Channel, etc, and they do not even come close to this. I really like the fact that it is more instructional real hunting rather than the typical deer on a collar and leash episode you will find on the Outdoor channel. Thanks and keep the camera rolling.
