No never took any classes just watched videos and read up on it. Was a fun challenge.

I actually went to the website free taxidermy school.com and bought the whitetail tool box's. Had all the supplies I needed for the most part. A taxidermy stand is also needed or a 2x4 and a vice which is how I done this one but ordered a stand to do the next. Few weeks I'm doing another one for my dad.

Thanks for the information, I appreciate it. I'm going to check out that website. Look forward to seeing your next project. I saw your goal was to do better on the ears, curious to hear what you do differently on your next one.

Putting more clay in at the base of the ears so they look more muscular. I didn't have enough in on this one and just look a little small at the base of them for my likes. Learning process though and the challenge of doing better on the next one is something I look forward too.

I got to the second pic and laughed out loud thinking it was a joke. Then I saw the third... good job. You are going to have a lot of new "buddies" if you keep this up.

Fine job! Looks nice. Is taxidermy something you want to pursue as a career or just a fun hobby?

Lol... I'll be sure to watch how I title my post on here from now on. Never even crossed my mind but that's pretty funny now that you pointed that out.

just a hobby. Sure I would love to do this for a living but the thought of my busy time being right in the middle of my hunting season would never work for me.
