What did you flesh with, machine? Did you self tan with some kind of pickle?

I flesh off all the fat and meat with a beaver knife, there usually is not a lot to do.

turn lips, ears, eyes, nose then salt for 2 days, then shake off the salt, let dry a bit, fold it up, box it, send it to golden state tannery in CA for tanning.

mario and i made a video of caping this buck, you can see we got most of the flesh off the hide during caping it.

Done. Now it just has to dry. It's really wet right now, so as it dries it will look way better. Everything is super soft and mushy, gotta firm up.

He must have been a fighter. I found more cuts in him that we didn't see during caping.
