Nice looking mounts guys, my best friend is a taxidermist and he gives a big big break on price and does an excellent job, only downfall to that is mine is usually not done till end of summer but I can live with that.

I suspect most don't have them back yet. But I have my first back and second will be done next week.

And second in progress.

Looking forward to see some of the other mounts. Using a new taxidermist this year who just started. He does really nice work.

I'm in the same boat. I use a guy in KY and he gives me a break on price, because I don't pick mine up until my trip up there the following season. It works pretty well for me, but it sure is tough to wait a whole year to get my hands back on it.

Got the call couple days ago from Jay Trudell my buck is done. This is one from 2014. He was in the freezer for a couple of years. Jay is planning on bringing the mount to Dubuque Iowa and I will meet him somewhere to get the mount.

You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Great idea for a thread btw! 8-) some great looking bucks!!

I got a call from the taxi man early last week. He said the form I ordered was the biggest Mackenzie makes for that pose, and there was still 2" of extra hide! He's getting a bigger form in a slightly different pose (I originally picked a semi sneak) "that way you can keep the neck big"

Can't wait!
