The old one is missing some pics
9/19/15 - 49* Low / 70* High This buck was killed in Climax Springs, MO About a year prior I found Dan and then this site but lingered like alot do before joining. You guys are intimidating. I absorbed what I was able to and went scouting in Aug. I knew exactly where i wanted to go, walked in w a stand mid day and there he stood 30 yrds away while we stared at each other - each equally shocked. He left the area and I hung a stand in the tree where I stood. The area was hammered w heavy rain the night before and my entry was silent as can be. He came running down the hill behind me like he was late for something, stopped broad side 10 yds away and just looked at me in the low light. I had major issues w peep site in low light but he was so close I wasn't missing. My 1st shot I hit him directly behind his shoulder and dropped him to the ground like a log. He flopped down the hill like a turkey and that rack kept getting up so I put another in him... that one I wasn't proud of. The taxidermist specifically asked what happened to this deer?

Great buck and the mount looks really well done also. Congrats! Based on your posts, I think we will be seeing more of them from you in the future.
