Beginners luck

Well after years of wanting to try taxidermy, I finally tried one. My first beast buck and first attempt at a mount thought it was fitting. I was lucky enough to have someone show me and let me run with it. Gotta let dry and paint and a little clean up. Pretty enjoyable now to convince the wife I need taxidermy supplies :P

Will do. Nice thing about this my buddy said he wouldn't let me mess it up. So my first one alone will be a crap shoot :lol:

Looks good! I'd like to try myself sometime, but I don't have a lot of patience for the details. It must be nice to have it on the wall all ready! My taxi said mine would be July or August.

Congrats, he looks great! I am not sure if I will ever try taxidermy, however I am currently in the process of tanning my first trapped raccoon to make into a hat for my son who was with me when I trapped it. He is stoked.

Finally got him done today. Wanna thank my buddy without him I could have never done it. He must have gone nuts with all my questions :lol:
