He’s all done!

Unread postby Marshbuster89 » Tue Oct 30, 2018 3:50 am

Thought I’d share my 2017 archery buck with you. It’s on a McKenzie 8900 form. I made the base out of cedar ran through a planer and used 2-part epoxy to build up the foundation for the “ground” which is removeable.

When the buck came into range, he was all riled up licking his nose and snorting while posturing as he approached the scrape that a younger buck had just peed in moments earlier. So, the mount had to replicate that. The tongue was cast by hand and took about 5 attempts to get it right. I am beyond happy with how it all came together!

Thanks all! I’m glad the whole tongue thing turned out. I just had to do it for it to be right.
