Three Lakes Preserve

Unread postby Sam Ubl » Wed Sep 01, 2010 8:16 am

Anyone know of it? It's in Three Lakes, WI, and shows the address to be right off HWY 45 as you come into town. I can bet that's not the address of the preserve.

My question is if anyone knows if this land is fenced in or if they just own a lot of land or if it's public...

No intentions here, just plain curious.

I know of it but don't know exactly where it is in relation to Three Lakes.

It seems Ted Nugent goes there every year now for his show.

I believe it's fenced and the "hunts" cost a few grand or more. Their "season" starts on Aug. 15th so you can still shoot them in velvet. Here is a link to their website. The address is also listed on the website. I'm pretty sure Bonack's Safari World in Three Lakes is the preferred taxidermist and gets a lot of deer to mount out of there b/c when I stopped there several years ago and asked where his showroom deer mounts at the time came from he said Three Lakes Preserve.

I saw a hunting show about the preserve one time. They breed specific bucks, and grow some monsters. They had one buck that at 1 1/2 old was like 160 or something crazy like that. They will sell the bucks ....well you know, to other deer farms to inseminate does for thousands of dollars. There is no way I would ever go there. Not because I could never afford it. I just don't want to buy a freak buck that according to their site I have a 100% chance of shooting.

Did anyone else notice the guaranteed 200" for like $18,000 plus 200 bucks for very inch over 200. That's absolute insanity.
