I work near Cadillac , do some turkey and waterfowl hunting down there also. As far as drawing an elk tag , I've been applying since 84 and have yet to be drawn. I've been an elk guide here since the hunts began so I do get to kinda hunt em...if you get drawn I'll gladly point you in the right direction. Or guide you if need be. There's a lot more reward in doing it on your own though!

Same here WA, I'm down! Would be kinda cool to meet up before bow season, would be like a MI "beast" deer camp to talk opening season plans and get amped for the hunting season.

I've noticed that this summer has been unusually cool so far, and have heard numerous times that this summer is expected to be very mild, curious how this weather will play part on the upcoming season. Especially October. Could be a positive. Earlier rut dates?
