I hunt Arenac county (one county north of Bay county) almost exclusively. The big bucks are FEW and far between (based of running multiple cams on private and public) but there are thousands of acres of public if you are looking to expand your hunting locations.

I'm south of Holly. I would be willing to attend a meet and greet, depending on when and where.

I would love to hunt a little north of here as there is some agriculture north of here. Around here is horse farms and overgrown fields, but not much for ag. Plenty of hard to get access to private though around here.

Nice buck!! Let's all pick a month and a day that's good for all of us. Mon-fri is no good for me. Fri night is ok, sat and sun good as well. We also need to decide a good meeting ground, restaurant?

I'm open Friday and Saturday most of the time. If I had property I'd set up a BBQ. I'm right in your area WA, depends where a good mutual spot is for everyone else

how many of you guys have young kids or family member that can youth hunt in michigan ? we could all go find a good spot on state land scout it out a few weeks befor youth season starts and all hang out and hunt with the kids i got my 14yr old nephew who never shot a deer yet i would like see him shoot one. i have next to no deer in the U.P to go hunt and its too far for a 2 day week end hunt. i know some big woods around south branch mi we could look over or open to anyone else thoughts. just throughing that plan out there. i,m all about kids hunting and all about kids getting deer.

My daughter is to young to hunt this year but I'd be interested in helping with the scouting.

Was talking over the weekend with another MI hunter on here and we both agreed that it would be cool if we could get the MI hunters together on here and all pitch in a little bit of $$$ and try to get Dan to set up a workshop here. Would give us a chance to have a meet & greet and learn a few things.

Possibly find a section of "neutral" state game area where no one on here is hunting so we're not stepping on anybody's feet that has both hill country and Marsh terrain to scout.

I have learned alot from Dan's videos as well as many of the members on here..but imo the type of terrain and pressure that us MI hunters face each season is like no other state and I think it would be very beneficial to have a workshop here if Dan was willing.

Any opinions?
