I've been telling you guys for years late Oct is prime here but only when Dewey tells you that do you give it a try. I see how it is :lol:

Oct 24-30 was the best hunting of the season around here this year if you were dialed in to buck bedding. As it is most years - still kinda weather dependent.

How did packing him out go for you?

The pack out went well, I will definitely keep that in mind for the future. If I was going up a 300 foot hill I would do two trips. You are dead on correct on the buck bedding, in my 4 hunts I targeted specific buck beds on three of them and on two of the hunts I saw decent bucks. Cold front helped a ton I'm sure.
