The light in his eyes when he woke up this morning, the thrill of being successful is worth every minute of it. Because we all know how that feels. Its one thing that I really love about deer hunting. My son summed it up so well. "Dad, I just feel so successful!"
I will never forget youth day, when I sat down beside him, waiting for our ride. We probably had .5 hour or so to sit and chat about the hunt and what went wrong and why he could not pull the trigger. We had a heart to heart talk about hunting and what it means and our plans of how to work on stuff so we could get to this moment we experienced yesterday.
Sometimes I never realize how much impact we really have on our children.
Just remember my high octane friend, he could likely be a little less hard core than than you!
