Nicely done. Congratulations to Uncle Jeff.

That 45-70 did a number on the heart. How's the recoil on it ompared to a 30-06?

I have been thinking about getting a straight wall caliber lever rifle.

Never shot a 30-06, but it compares to a slug gun I suppose. It's a well made, heavy,rifle so it absorbs the kick a bit. I never felt it while hunting as i was in the moment
