Thank you to everyone for all of the kind replies!! It is funny how things work out some times. All during archery season I paid attention to my entrance and exits to stand sites, I stayed out of areas if the wind was even a little bit iffy. I tried to keep my scent under control, just everything that I could do to increase my chances at a buck of this caliber. Then the morning I get him we head to our easiest to get to stand site, practiced no scent control, the buck had actually walked right across our access trail just a minute before I shot him. Plus as the deer was walking in I was openly talking to my son to try and keep him informed as to what was about to go down. The only thing that we really had going for us was the wind was perfect for the stand, we basically had no way to get winded as all of our scent was being taken up over the steep hillside behind us. I also forgot to add one of my favorite all time pics!
