 Congratulations! Great write up too!
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence... We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then is not an act but a habit.

Nice job boogie. Unfortunately the grind is over but you've got a nice buck to show for it. Plus you still get to chase swoops next year.

Great buck! Congrats!
Take your bow and a quiver full of arrows, and go out into the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

Thank you all for the kind words fellas! It’s been a season of up’s and downs but wouldn’t seem right any other way. Next time I pull my cams I post a pic of swoops, same size but he’s an 8 with longer beams that swoop up. Just keeping it real, suspect that buck will die of old age, every year that passes he gets smarter and learns more about how I hunt. Only so many curve balls u can throw on a small property b4 u r all out of pitches. Gonna still try but def wouldn’t put all my eggs in that basket, he’s beat me like a drum for years and don’t see that changing
There's more fun in hunting with the handicap of the bow than there is in hunting with the sureness of pulling the trigger.

Ya is more of a 2nd rut this time of year, but with our crazy weather down here sometimes 2nd rut gives u better daylight movement than the primary with the cooler temps. From what I’ve read from you guys ruts, ours appears to be more drawn out and less dramatic.
