Dan,
I have a few questions about the situation where you killed the slob buck. I know you killed him over a scrape near the public parking area. How was that scrape overlooked by the other hunters? I would think that being so close to the parking lot many hunters would have noticed it and at least a few would have attempted to hunt over it. My other question is did you see the scrape and decide to glass to find the buck or did you see the buck first then find the scrape afterwards?

No... But a giant 8 pointer showed in the same bed a couple years later and I put a friend on it. I think it scored around 160, which is quite high for an 8.

Great podcast. I've listened to it a few times and each time something new clicks. I think this finally helped me understand what fresh rubs/ scrapes are the ones I should key in on. If there isn't bedding nearby, keep looking! Not sure why that took so long...
