Also wanted to say you nailed the swamp thermals as well, pretty much every swamp bedding area I have has some form of thermal in play.

Another great podcast! Great job Mario and WA!! There is so much to learn from. And well rounded with the stories of the actuall hunts from this I am going to have my 13 and 15 year old sons listen to this as well. The relationship you have with your father is pretty awesome! Thanks for taking the time share with all of us!!

Great podcast Jason. Slipped by me that you did this till now, listened to it over my 3 hours on the road zigzagging across Iowa today  . Gave me a lot better understanding of you, good job! Really liked the story of your buck last year, definitely one for the books! Your success in a part of a state where so many think its impossible to consistently kill 3 year old+ bucks on public land speaks for itself. MORE IMPORTANTLY, you show a willingness to give back to others and help them out. That shines, it is what makes this site so awesome.

WA & Mario nice job on the podcast, you're connection with your dad is awesome. I connect with my dad on a lot of levels of hunting just not the desire for killing mature bucks, which is fine.

I'm raising my son to have that connection if he wants to of course!

Thanks guys, means a lot that so many of you really liked the podcast, and picked up a thing or two, or even stopped and thought oh yeah. Truly blessed to be around such a great group of hunters.

I just came across this podcast and my mind is on overload! Awesome podcast, and a lot of great information. Thanks Jason and Mario for putting this together. I have a few questions after listening that hopefully you can help me with?

-Morning Hunting Marsh Stands - What time are you arriving to your stand? Is this riskier than an evening sit, with taking a chance to spook the deer before they get to their beds?

- Late season Marsh Hunting- Have you had any success hunting late bow season or muzzleloader in the marsh? I would think it actually may be good since the deer get pushed to thicker cover, but then again are really spooky at this time of year

-Getting Kids Involved- I know you mentioned you hunt with your dad, but this type of hunting has to be very difficult to do with a kid. I have a young son and would like to take him along with me in the future. Taking them scouting seems like a good way to get them involved. Do you hunt with your son in easier acess areas, where you may see a lot more deer but less bucks?

Thanks and great podcast!

Jason, Great job! I have been way behind all these podcasts, and spending the summer catching up!

Finding so much good bedding in such high pressure area is remarkable. It sounds like you have some sweet primary bedding areas.
