I just finished watching all the videos
Lots of lessons to be learned there.
I biggest take away from these lessons are nothing is cut and dried.
You have to get boots on the ground and analyze the beds you find.
Not all beds are treated equal, especially if your looking for a mature buck.
Also, taking time to set in stands just for intel.

Good stuff Mario and Dan!

Thanks

I would like to hear your thoughts on hunting CRP areas surrounded by patches of wooded areas and ag. For instance, there is an area of public that I hunt that has a large CRP field with a few areas of thick brush. This is surround on 3 sides with wooded areas, and a roataion of corn and beans on the other. From what I can tell, the bucks are bedding on the edges of the thick stuff where it meets the tall grass. Would you attempt to ground hunt the CRP area, or set up where the woods meets the CRP?

How would your setup be different using a crossbow or gun vs a vertical Bow for mobile hunting?

I have a strategy-type question.

Scenario: Realistically, can only bow hunt 6-10 times a year and can do about 12-20 days worth of scouting, glassing, and shinning. The region of the state I hunt (1.5-2hrs drive from home) is heavily populated and pressured, however, mature bucks are harvested throughout the areas every year. This will be only my second full year (2018) hunting and scouting beast style.

Question: If you were in my shoes, would you focus on finding as many spots to hunt as possible, or do you find a handful of spots and really concentrate on learning those spots? Focusing on quantity would most likely result in me scouting a new area each day I have available. Focusing on quality would likely result in me finding a handful spots but going back to each spot multiple times to observe, glass, and shine.

I know it's kind of a catch 22 question and I know the database of locations will keep increasing over the years. This is what I am getting stuck on, go slow and steady (quality) or fast and furious (quantity)?

Thank you

Just got done watching the 2017 season in review video. Great watch! Can you discuss how you utilize trail cameras during the season? Curious how and where you decide to put them during the season as well as how you protect them from getting stolen or tampered with. Thanks!
