Things are finally starting to get going in LA still just a bit early though.

Came to a preset near the house with my number 1 target. It’s a huge swamp with a 10-15 acre thicker bedding area. I’m right on the edge of it with a pretty good view. Haven’t dove off into the bedding area just yet waiting for the right time.

Had a deer run off while I was pulling my bow up, sounded like a small deer not sure though.

Lows in the 40’s are a big relief.

Pulled a card over a scrape on my way in.. card was blank not sure if card is bad or batteries died. Pretty upsetting because I was excited to see if they were starting to get a little frisky.

Sitting on a ridge between bedding and a picked cornfield. We’ll see what happens

Sitting an oberservation sit on an overlooked spot. I sat on the other end of this area last week but the sign read entrance more than an exit. I can monitor two other thickets on top of the one I’m set up on. Lots of tracks coming off this ridge down in the slew so maybe I’ll get a look at something. Just saw a small bobcat come through from behind me. From a superstitious standpoint, those seem to be a good indicator for deer movement during the evenings for me.

A long cold sit tonight that produced zero deer. Back at it Saturday afternoon. Thought tonight would have been awesome. Temps in the teens. Winter storm coming after midnight. Maybe I smell or something?

Zero deer seen this evening but a second bobcat came through about 10 minutes after the first. He’ll look nice on the wall.

Yes sir. About a 30 yd poke. Kind of proud about that shot honestly. A lot smaller target than a deer.

Hope it works for you. You got a spot picked out near a buck bed or food ?

Not many people have seen a bobcat and to shoot one with a bow. Well Done!
