Re: **LIVE FROM THE FIELD - 2017**
A doe, two fawns, and a forker. All to far. Does are fair game for me in December to try get more archery kills/experience under my belt. I decided that I would hold off on using my either sex tag on a doe until December this year, and it’s December

Had a doe come by around 4 and that was it for the afternoon. Wind was squirrely all day. Wish I had saved this spot for tomorrow’s weather.

Out with that on some public today. He picked a spot pretty close to the truck, to avoid leg cramps later in the evening. He saw four pointer but couldn't get his sights lined up with the weeds. Ground pound. Muzzleloader.
I went pretty far and scooped around from the back side. I decided to do some still hunting with a Muzzleloader today. Pretty calm wind in the morning, and I crested a ridge and had a buck bolt out of there really fast. It was exciting but no shot happened. In the afternoon we went to another spot the wind kicked up and it snowed all afternoon. No deer seen. We didn't even see any driving out which is rare. The wind was really blowing, and this is the first snow for us here.

Re: **LIVE FROM THE FIELD - 2017**
Traded the bow out for the muzzleloader this morning and hit a property that I’d only ever scouted once. Was setup just off the transition from hardwoods to small timber on a corner thinking they’d hug the edge. Not long after daylight I had a buck chase a doe, grunting every step. They were just into the thicket enough that I couldn’t see them. At 9, another deer cruised by. Could see legs on this one, but never head.
Got down at noon and scouted that area out quickly and picked out a possible kill tree.
On the other side of this property now. In a hardwood bottom that was selected cut last year. Green grass and growing, and brush piles and tree tops laying everywhere.

Re: **LIVE FROM THE FIELD - 2017**
It has been a pretty rough season for me as I lost most of November and December to remodeling our new house, but I was able to make it out today finally. No deer but nice to be in the woods.
