Nothing in daylight. While packing up my stand I heard deer coming from the expected bedding. They saw my light I think and held up in the brush.

Felt like October weather tonight.

Nothing this evening. Stopped halfway out to my intended destination ..sign got real good... but, nothing seen or heard. Sure enjoyed the rising "supermoon" on the way home.

Three more smokepole days left, but the weather is not gonna be nice here tomorrow.

Jumped one on the way to the stand or before you set the stand?

[quote="Dewey"]Decided to bring my muzzleloader again today for one last gun hunt. On the way in or maybe even last night busting through the cattails I lost my ram rod. Didn’t notice it till I almost got to my tree to set up today. Hope I don’t need to reload.

I killed a big 15pt one year because I lost my ramrod and had to go back the next day to look for it

Lockdown wrote:Good luck guys! Dewey that spot looks awesome. Man I’d be nervous not having a ram rod!! Will be a cool story if you get one...

No cool story but I did find that an old aluminum Easton 2315 Autumn Orange arrow works perfect for a ramrod.

It will do till I get a new one but think I’m done with the muzzy for the year.

Glad to see I'm not the only one already scouting

Mine is all cyber scouting so far. Hoping to get into the woods sometime soon, but not really in any hurry now

Saw 2 people get knocked over by the wind in downtown milwaukee today when they rounded a corner of a building. Shouldn't laugh, but it was pretty funny  It's always windy down here, and the buildings create the nastiest wind tunnels.

I wouldn't doubt it at all. I'm on the first floor of a shorter building and you can feel the gusts when they hit

I've been trying to get motivated to do a scouting walkabout all day. Kinda been waiting so I could do some shining on the way home.
