My buddy is beyond ecstatic. He has killed one bigger in LA but this is his most special. It was a 25 yard shot right off the edge of a bean field. The buck made it 90 yards before going down. He hunted him hard two years ago and last year never saw him or got a pic. He thought he was dead but he showed up this last week every evening. I didn't even shoot him and I'm in shock.

Went out last night bumped a bachelor group from a small tree grove 100 yards from the road  . Got to my spot which was not planed do to other hunters but I had a good night with the squirrels, coyote, and turkeys.

Great buck. I think we'd all be ecstatic with that one. Congrats to your friend.

Found two fresh scrapes this morning within eye shot of a buck bed. Crazy how things start to pick up

Drove up to Kentucky for my first out of state hunt this week. I've seen a lot of deer, but unfortunately no bruisers. Ground game has been strong though. Ive had at least 15 close encounters under 20 yards and only been busted a few times. I'll probably take a doe this evening if the opportunity presents itself. Good luck everybody!!!
