What an awesome morning to be sitting a cypress swamp edge on an observation stand. Just enjoying the sounds, smells, and sights. Haven't seen what I'm looking for yet, but man is it beautiful out this morning.

Not the best pics, but I was alone and had to pull the jawbone before leaving the check station. When I finally got him hung last night, I was too tired to care about pics.

I just went through 30 mph gusts at 15 feet up for the first time. Wow.

My RC harness and gear gave me faith but I admit to getting down to the ground before normal. It was a connect the dots hunt. A buck was sighted entering a thick area and I scouted in to find his cross route. It was marked with a rub and I had a tree work at 15 yards.

No deer seen.

Two nights in a row I've had my target buck 100 yards or less. Two does screwed things up tonight. He was marching straight at me and they started acting stupid and made him hang up and stay 100 yards out. I'm gonna have to work the next couple days, so he will get a break from me. I'll be formulating a plan the next couple days.

This deer is a tank. He's 6.5 and has given me fits the last couple years.
