Beast Hunting Defined

Postby Double Draw » Thu Sep 14, 2017 6:14 pm

I get the general idea of the 'Beast Method' but define in a sentence or two what it means to you.
Thanks!

Out working the other guy and earning the buck. Relying on woodsmanship, common sense, patients and persistence over high tech gadgets and shortcuts to get the job done!

Hunting him where he is going instead of hunting him where he has been.
I live to release an arrow and watch woods grow into chaos and then grow quite as a mouse in just seconds.

To me its just the all out pursuit of your prey. Mobility, creativity, and studying the target to find a weakness. Never stop moving or looking for an angle.

To me it could have a few different definitions, first it would be locating a bucks bedding and/or core area, then setting up on him where he moves during shooting hours. Beyond that it is taking your deer hunting knowledge to a whole new level and using every tactic and advantage to get those deer in bow range be it bed hunting, rut hunting, mornings, evenings, mid day and everything else in between.

Doing whatever it takes to legally find and kill the best bucks on heavily pressured public and small private. And fully enjoying the journey whether your successful or not
Take your bow and a quiver full of arrows, and go out into the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

To me it is hunting/scouting with a purpose, and with the actual location of your quarry in mind. If while in the woods, you can logically explain, in relation to the location of your prey, why you are doing what you are doing and why you are walking where you are walking then you are beast hunting.

Beast Hunting is a state of mind not necessarily a specific tactic. If you are willing to do whatever it takes to tag a buck and don't make any excuses along the way you might be a Beast hunter. A true Beast hunter never gives up and treats each day as a new adventure.

Kicking "---" and talking names, in the big bucks bedroom!!!

It's an attitude & a state of mind!
