I had the same thing happen this year during bow season,except it was a bunch of pigs. They ate my doe almost up before I got over there to them. It kinda makes me think they may be eating fawns too. The other problem with pigs is they take over good buck bedding.

I live on the edge of a decent sized swamp in southern NH. I hear the packs howling over a meal about once a month but only August thru November. Weird right? Also, starting in July and August we get daylight sightings in our nighborhood and chickens and cats go missing. But I’m pretty sure almost only during the summer do we get sightings. Weird right?

I got a buck last year in the swamp. Let the buck sit two hours, I was worried about yotes but buck was not touched, gutted and dragged him out. Got home and was in bed about one hour after the gut job and I heard the dogs going ape sht. It’s a damn scarey sound to hear a pack howling and barking mad over a gut pile. Scared the out of my wife. She woke up and said “is that?...” I’m like “yup” and she was like - “I’m scared”. Hahaha!!
