Re: What Was Your Best Day of 2017?
Hunted three different ruts.
Was planning to hunt the Midwest October 28-November 1. Killed my buck early into my October 28 sit. Feel like that was one of the best days for buck movement, but we definitely saw an increase on Halloween between my scouting, dads hunting and then driving around.
In the MS delta, my best day was 12/10. Got into three different chases that day and killed a good buck.
In the MS Hills, didn’t see much during the traditional peak. Had a phenomenal evening on 1/6, seeing 9 bucks, 3 being of the 3.5 variety and 1 6.5 that I missed.

November 2nd last fall, and November 3rd the two seasons before that.

Interesting both of us in WV both said Nov. 11. I will be on the lookout for similar conditions in coming years and plan to spend the day in my best spots depending on wind direction. I could have hunted more on Nov 11 this year, but did not fully recognize how good a day it was until after it was gone...

Re: What Was Your Best Day of 2017?
My best day in the woods was November 1st. At 5:04 PM I witnessed the biggest buck of my hunting career while I had a bow in my hand. He was around a 130s bigwoods giant. I only saw him for 5 minutes or so. But it proved to me firsthand that they do exist and that it's possible to find them and kill them. Everyday since I've thought about this buck and figuring out a way to get after him next season. And the moments that I saw him beat out my two doe kills this season.

November 14th
I was inches away from closing the deal on my first beast mature buck. It validated the beast forum and dans teachings.
Happy hunter.

The exact date seems to change from year to year but some of my best bow bucks were shot on Nov 7th, 10th, 11th and 14th. In my area, that is the week I always see the best big buck daylight movement all year.
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity!!

Yep. Same here. That week before gun season is usually the best for mature buck sightings. Although late October and late December were good for me this year also.

Re: What Was Your Best Day of 2017?
2017 was a really strange season for me. No day really sticks out as being better than others. When I saw a good buck other than maybe a doe he was following that was about the extent of movement I saw. I won’t go as far as saying it was a good day because I only saw one buck that day. Can’t remember too many multiple deer days. Had a few days seeing 3-4 deer but they were all antlerless and very early in the season.

Re: What Was Your Best Day of 2017?
November 7th was my best day this year although I did not harvest a buck on this day. I had a hot doe come in which led to four different shooters coming in during the day. That was the best day I've ever had hunting. Last year I would have said Nov 6th and 11th.

Re: What Was Your Best Day of 2017?
Best days for me were November 10th & 11th. I had back to back kills. The overall best movement for mature deer I saw this season was late November, early December. I wasn’t able to do much other than take note of it as I didn’t have a buck tag for the remainder of the season.
