Re: Deer shades
I assume you mean SHEDS.
They are not as easy to find as many believe. I spend as much time as anybody outdoors and have only found 8 in my lifetime. Never really looking for them and usually find them by accident in or near bedding areas.

Re: Deer shades
2 weeks ago saw many pics of bucks still holding both sides. Getting reports of them starting to drop now. Past few seasons they have been holding until now actually. Maybe the mild winters?

Re: Deer shades
I have had good luck finding sheds this year not so much I found one December 26 then nothing I'm finding a lot of big buck beds but sheds not so good I don't know if its because a tone of bucks were shot in my areas this year of if they dropped right after gun season in thick nasty holes they hide in that time of year. probably both for me but I'm still trying. I know if I can find another ill be back in the game. I thought it was just me but a lot of people I talk to are not finding them this year. our herd is going down every year and in the game of odds that's not helping.

Re: Deer shades
Haven't seen any yet most of the bucks I am seeing still have horns.
The bucks should be dropping them here soon.

Re: Deer shades
Around here about 80-90% have dropped, almost all the older bucks have dropped. The second round of cold weather and snow we had a couple weeks ago shook a lot of them loose. But they are still hard to find. I haven't found any yet but that's not surprising cuz I haven't looked much....
